"Thank you, Captain," Tarak said as he accepted the handshake. It wasn't Romulan but he understood the necessity on a political level and on a personal level, a private opinion who wasn't likely to admit out loud, he was relieved that there wasn't going to be outright animosity between his team and the Captain. "I look forward to a successful ... collaboration."

Iryniahl entered the room at a run, almost out of breath. "Captain" he panted "My apologies. I arrived only two days ago, and I do not yet know my way around this place. I'm afraid I got a little bit lost." It was only at this point that he noticed the others in the room. "Oh, Commodore, Romulan...I apologize to you also for my lateness." He now took a moment to straighten out his uniform. "Lieutenant JG Iryniahl th'Eryrak, reporting as ordered sirs."

The Commodore slanted a look at the young officer and nodded then continued. "As I said, the technology is off limits and will remain behind this force field. The Romulan team will do whatever is necessary from their end to make sure everything works as it should. Now, if there's nothing else, I am needed elsewhere. I trust, Captain, that you'll find the team quarters and make them welcome aboard the Valkyrie."

"I'll have the Quartermaster contact you to make arrangements," Milo replied, "In the mean time you're welcome to make use of the ship's public areas. Lieutenant th'Eryrak here is the Chief Diplomatic Officer," he gestured to the Andorian, "He'll be your official liaison while you're on board, should you require anything." He glanced at Reyes, "Unless the Commodore has anything to add, I believe we're done here."

"Nothing on my end," the Commodore said. "Keep me informed as to your progress." With a final nod to all assembled, the Commodore swept out of the room. Time for everyone to get to work.

As the Commodore left, Ronan came around the corner and stopped short as he took in the scene. "I assume I've found the source of the readings we're seeing on the Bridge," he said dryly.

Milo turned and looked at his First Officer with a raised eyebrow, "What readings are those, Commander?"

"Chroniton particles," Ronan said as gaze took in the group before him and settled on the Captain once more. As he spoke the security team showed up, earning them a less than pleased look from Ronan, as he continued. "As we haven't launched, I came down to investigate."

"Chroniton particles?" Milo's eyebrow arched higher as he turned back to Tarak, "Could your equipment be the source of these readings, Commander?"

"We'll investigate and let you know," Tarak said smoothly. Whatever he thought about the situation was held behind his habitually cool exterior. "Now, if there is nothing else, we have much to do."
